This year saw a very moving presentation by Angela Barker. Angela is a young woman who was horrendously assaulted at age 16 in her home town in Victoria. She spent many years in rehabilitation and nursing homes to learn to walk and talk again. Angela presented to a captivated audience, including students from many highs schools in the area, talking about Domestic Violence as a young person and the tragic consequences she faced after an assault that almost killed her.
Minister Troy Grant was our VIP guest for the year. This breakfast had a significant impact on the audience and we thank Angela and her parents for travelling up to NSW to support our breakfast.
